Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Troubleshooting\System and Security
Method 1: Run the update troubleshooter
a. Hover the mouse to the top right-hand corner and click on search
b. Type control panel and hit enter
c. If the icons are not displayed in large size, click on the category which is above the list and select large icons
d. Now click on troubleshooting
e. Now, under system and security, click fix problems with Windows update and proceed further.
Method 2: Restart the update service
a. Hover the mouse to the top right-hand corner and click on search
b. Type cmd and right-click on command prompt and run as administrator
c. Type the following commands. Press ENTER after each command:
net stop wuauservnet start wuauserv
d. Close the Command prompt window.

Download Windows Update Troubleshooter for Windows 7 and Windows 8
Try to install updates again.
